Another reason he may not like eating on one side is because the other breast might be producing more. I know Nikki recommended eating more, and I would recommed to also try and get more sleep. Oh, and thanks for the shout out. We love you too!Sheenahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12161423953122742931noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2069271134473726761.post-2698324421671172972010-03-11T14:38:40.594-08:002010-03-11T14:38:40.594-08:00It is always a struggle to learn to breastfeed. I talked to a lactation specialist and one thing she said was to pump for 10 minutes after James ate, even if nothing came out. Just the stimulation made my body realize that I needed to produce more milk. that helped a lot, I even still do it every now and then just so it won't decrease anymore. He also preferred one side over the other and then I realized it was actually his side he preferred to lay on, so I held him football style to feed on the right side, and the normal way to feed on the left. He ate much better that way. And to the eating thing... you're supposed to consume 500 more calories a day than normal when you're breast feeding!Analeehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07798682149716822295noreply@blogger.com
